Bakery menu templates that price by the piece, box and kilo

Bakery pricing does not fit a restaurant menu. One croissant or six, a half kilo or a full, custom cakes quoted per order — these templates handle all three without a mess of duplicate rows.

Built for the way bakeries actually sell

Half your menu is sold by weight, a third by the box, and the celebration cakes are quoted rather than listed. A bakery template gives each of those its own shape instead of flattening them into one price column.

  • Per piece, per box of six and per kilo on one line
  • Daily bake schedule — sourdough Thursdays, brioche weekends
  • Sold-out toggle for the 4 pm reality of a bakery counter
  • Allergen tags on every item, because bakeries get asked
  • Custom cake enquiries straight to WhatsApp

Bakery specifics

The things bakery menus have to do

Unit pricing, allergens and a product list that changes with the oven.

Multi-unit pricing

Show per piece, per half dozen and per kilo on one row without three separate entries.

📅

Daily bake schedule

Tell guests which days the sourdough and the brioche come out, so they stop asking.

🚫

Sold-out by 4 pm

Grey out what has gone without deleting it — it is back on the menu at 7:30 tomorrow.

🧂

Allergen detail

Nuts, gluten, dairy and egg tagged per item, filterable by guests who need to check.

🎂

Custom cake enquiries

A quote button that opens WhatsApp with the cake and size already filled in.

📦

Box builder pricing

Mix-and-match box tiers priced automatically as guests choose how many.

Setup

A bakery list live in one sitting

1

Start from a bakery layout

Choose a template with room for unit pricing and allergen lines.

2

Add products and units

Enter each bake once, then attach its piece, box and kilo prices.

3

Set the bake calendar

Mark which items appear on which days. The menu updates itself each morning.

4

Print the counter card

Export a counter list and shelf tickets, and put a QR on the window for the queue outside.

Bakery menu craft

Writing a bakery menu that sells the second item

Lead with what came out of the oven today

A bakery’s strongest sales line is freshness, and it disappears the moment the menu looks static. Put today’s bakes at the top with the time they came out. It costs one edit a morning and it is the single most-read part of a bakery menu.

Make the box the obvious choice

Price a single croissant at ₹120 and a box of six at ₹650 and the box does the arithmetic for the customer. Showing both on the same line, rather than in separate sections, is what turns a one-pastry purchase into a weekend order.

Answer the allergen question before it is asked

  • Tag nuts, gluten, dairy and egg on every item, not just the obvious ones
  • Let guests filter, so a coeliac customer sees their options in one tap
  • Note shared-equipment risk once, clearly, rather than on every line

Keep celebration cakes out of the price list

Custom cakes are quoted, not listed. Give them their own section with photos, a starting price and a WhatsApp enquiry button. Trying to price every combination on the menu makes the list unreadable and the quotes wrong.

Sold out is information, not embarrassment

Customers respect a bakery that sells out. Greying out the last loaf at 3 pm tells people to come earlier tomorrow — and it stops the counter conversation you have thirty times a day.

FAQ

Questions we get asked most

Can I price the same item by piece and by box?

Yes. Each product holds several units — per piece, per half dozen, per box, per kilo — shown on one line instead of as duplicate entries.

How do I handle items that are only baked on certain days?

Every template supports a bake schedule per product, so a Thursday-only rye shows up on Thursday and stays hidden the rest of the week.

Can customers ask about custom cakes from the menu?

Yes. Add a quote button to your cakes section and it opens WhatsApp with the cake name and size already written in.

Do the templates support allergen labelling?

Yes. Tag nuts, gluten, dairy, egg and soy per item, and guests can filter the whole menu by what they need to avoid.

Can I print shelf tickets from the same list?

Yes. Shelf tickets and counter cards export from the same item list as the QR menu, so the prices always agree.

Is there a free plan for a small bakery?

Yes. One outlet with a full product list, a QR code and unlimited views costs nothing.
